Blueberry Donuts

1 Cup Seal the Seasons Blueberries

1 Cup Flour

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)

1/2 Cup buttermilk (or yogurt or sour cream)

2 Tablespoons Butter (melted)

1 Large Egg

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

½ Teaspoon Salt


1 Cup Confectioner’s Sugar

½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

23 Tablespoons Milk


STEP 1: Thaw and drain frozen blueberries

STEP 2: Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease donut pan well with butter or cooking spray and set aside.

STEP 3: In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder). In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, melted butter, and egg together. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold blueberries into batter.

STEP 4: Place batter in piping bag (or plastic freezer bag with one corner cut off). Pipe batter into donut pan until the donut cavities are about ¾” full. Knock pan on countertop a couple times to get the dough to settle.

STEP 5: Bake for 20-25 minutes until tops are lightly browned and donuts are springy. Let cool.

STEP 6: While donuts are cooling, whisk glaze ingredients together. When donuts are cooled completely, dip tops of donut into glaze and enjoy!
