Ingredients
-
1 Cup Seal the Seasons Blueberries
-
1 Cup Flour
-
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
-
1/2 Cup buttermilk (or yogurt or sour cream)
-
2 Tablespoons Butter (melted)
-
1 Large Egg
-
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
-
½ Teaspoon Salt
-
For the Glaze: 1 Cup Confectioner’s Sugar; ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract; 2–3 Tablespoons Milk
Directions
Thaw and drain frozen blueberries
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease donut pan well with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder). In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, melted butter, and egg together. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold blueberries into batter.
Place batter in piping bag (or plastic freezer bag with one corner cut off). Pipe batter into donut pan until the donut cavities are about ¾” full. Knock pan on countertop a couple times to get the dough to settle.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until tops are lightly browned and donuts are springy. Let cool.
While donuts are cooling, whisk glaze ingredients together. When donuts are cooled completely, dip tops of donut into glaze and enjoy!
