"PWBC is owned by the Passamaquoddy Tribe, who has a millennia-old tradition of hand harvesting wild blueberries to use as a dye, a food source, and for medicinal purposes. The Tribe purchased 2,000 acres of wild blueberry barrens in the 1980s and PWBC now manages those barrens, offering year-round and seasonal jobs to Tribe members. Profits from the company are either reinvested in the company's future or distributed to the two Passamaquoddy Tribe communities in Maine. Woliwon (thank you) for your support."
